Why Even Hire A Cleaning Company at All?
52An important question that professional cleaning companies should answer and that the non-cleaning specialists should ask is, “Why should I hire a professional cleaning company?” There are those that feel that it’s not necessary to make an office look perfect, but clean enough to be organized, remove bacteria and be aesthetically pleasing. Many people feel that anyone can vacuum and clean (after all, many people don’t hire professionals to clean their house so why hire someone to clean someone’s office?) and that it’s cheaper to either clean one’s office himself or ask his fellow employees (or employers) to clean instead of having to spend money hiring professional cleaners.
Well to answer the question located in the above parenthesis: First of all, if one can afford to hire professionals to clean the house it is recommend, but an office environment is different than a home environment. An office is a place where professionals work so an office should be presented professionally (and that includes professionally cleaned), whereas a home is a more relaxed environment, so one can be more cavalier when it comes to hiring professional cleaners for the home as opposed to the office.
Generally speaking, when you invite people to your home you’ve already established a relationship with the people. While there are people who invite strangers into their house, this is a rarer occurrence than inviting strangers to one’s place of business. Since people who enter your house know you already there is less a need to impress people by having an organized and cleaned home (although there is still a need) as opposed to having to impress consumers who are investing in you and the first time you meet might be in your office so they have yet to form an impression on you.
Since people who enter one’s house typically aren’t strangers who are entering a business arrangement with you and investing their money with you there is less of a need to impress them than friends who you are hosting and eating your food for free (with only the hopes that the compensation is a nice gift as thanks for dinner or a future invite by the guests).

- What Do Mothers Use?
Mother’s Day is coming up next week. As cleaning is still widely considered to be the domain of the mother, it occurred to me to take a poll and see what cleaning products are mother approved. Here is a sample of the answers provided by mothers around the country: Vacuum/Floor Cleaners: DustBuster Invented by Mark Proett in 1979 for Black & Decker, the “dustbuster” has become a genericized trademark for handheld vacuum cleaners. Perfect for sucking up hard to reach cereal bits in car seats. Swiffer: Dry, Wet, Vacuum Possibly one of the greatest floor cleaning inventions of all time, Swiffer now does just about everything; it sweeps, mops and vacuums. There is just something so satisfying in seeing dirt and grime and spills get demolished by Swiffer cloths. Toy Dozer A fun and quick way for kids to clean up their toys. Resorting might be required. Surface Cleaners: Fantastik/409/Vinegar All-purpose cleaners are essential to have around. If you run out of store-bought cleaner, try just using a vinegar and water solution. It may smell kind of bad, but it does the trick. Lysol/Clorox Wipes Have you run out of paper towels, or think they’re a drain on the environment? Using wipes cuts down on the number of steps in the cleaning [...] No related posts. - 2 weeks ago
- Earth Day
This Sunday is April 22. Why is that of any significance, you ask? Since 1970, April 22 has been observed as Earth Day in the United States. In 1990, Denis Hayes, the original coordinator 20 years prior of the first national Earth Day, brought it to the international community, organizing events in 141 countries. Earth Day (sometimes Earth Week) is now celebrated in over 175 countries worldwide. In 2009, the United Nations designated April 22 as “International Mother Earth Day.” Companies across the globe mark the day with special programs and events to honor our planet and raise environmental awareness. Philips announced today that they will be offering its most technologically advanced LED bulb to consumers for the first time this Earth Day. It is the most energy efficient bulb in the world. “Because the new bulb is 83% more energy efficient than the standard 60-Watt incandescent, consumers can now experience new savings for their pocketbooks by putting this technologically advanced product to use in their homes,” said Ed Crawford, GM of Lamps, Lighting Electronics and Controls for Philips Lighting North America. Wegmans, rated the country’s leading supermarket chain by Consumer Reports, will be holding an Organic Festival with fun activities for the [...] Related posts:Are Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Companies Interested in The Right Type of Green? - 4 weeks ago

When you hear the term “going green”, you automatically think of recycling. But “going green” means more than recycling. It means living life in way that is environment friendly. “Going green” means helping the world sustain its natural resources. It’s important to incorporate ‘green’ ways of life into your everyday life, not only at home, but at your work place, as well. There are easy ways to go green at work: -Use green cleaning products. Green cleaning products are environmentally safe and save you from harmful toxins used in standard cleaning products. Green products won’t aggravate asthma or other allergies. There are green cleaning products for various different surfaces including carpets, hard floors and desktops. Spoterizer-Non Toxic Carpet Stain Removal and Extract Attack-Carpet Extractor are two examples of green carpet cleaners. Spoterizer-Non Toxic Carpet Stain Removal -Have a recycling bin next to the garbage can. This way, when cleaning up your office, you can easily toss paper and other recyclable items into the bin and help save the earth. If your office doesn’t have one already, see about starting a recycling program for everyone. Get in touch with your local sanitation department to see how you can do this. -When you start using green products, consider using [...] Related posts:Earth Day Are Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Companies Interested in The Right Type of Green?
